Spring News 2012

Here's a little news from The Farm for this first day of spring.  

 

The arborvitae are gone and in their place, new fencing!  The chicken coop has been reinforced and we're expecting new baby chicks. 

Spot has been snug and warm during this mild winter, keeping an eye  on everything that moves in the garden.

Unfortunately, we had a hail storm the other night and experienced some damage to the greenhouse and the garden.  We're glad the spring plants weren't here yet.

 

Lily and Sweet Pea have joined the horses in the pastures.  They're adorable!

And we revamped the website for The Loft, which is all spruced up and ready for spring and summer guests.

Fun new furniture lines at The Farm--tables, buffets, benches, and more.   Spring has definitely sprung with this glorious weather!  Come on over when you have a chance :) 

Pinterest Inspiration

Gail mentioned being bitten by the pinterest bug in her last Farm Mail.  She's got a lot of company there and it's easy to see why.  Sooo many ideas to spur your own creativity!  Like this vintage display made from a set of  old bed springs  for your treasured linens.

SpRiNg!

Thank you to Tiffany, our first customer of the 2012 season!  It was great to see Tiffany and all of you who came out to visit The Farm during opening week.  The weather is a bit unpredictable--that little bit of snow the other day was beautiful, wasn't it?--but these mild temperatures have really spiked our spring fever.  Well, the temperatures and this new line of spring hats, scarves, and purses :)

The garden is beginning to wake up and we've got lots of new things to show you.  If you need a spring hat, or just an excuse to take a drive through the country and breathe in some fresh spring air, we'd love to see you :)

Farm Mail

Hello Friends!

It seems like forever since I’ve written to you – but it also seems like the winter went by really fast. I bet you think we’ve just been sitting around eating bon-bons & surfing on Pinterest! (well, only half right! – yea, I’m addicted – check it out if you haven’t yet: www.pinterest.com). 

Actually, we’ve been very busy at the shop. Today was amazing…I can’t wait for you to see it! Opening day is always March 1^st, and that’s next Thursday. New goodies are arriving daily, and we’ve expanded our offerings to include some cute garden hats & matching purses, some really neat kid’s giftware, and even some furniture!

But the most adorable new things at The Farm are not for sale…our sweet Mediterranean Miniature Donkeys, Lily and Sweet Pea. Best Christmas gift ever!

 

The Loft guest house is ready for your Spring getaway in the country. And we will be starting seeds in the greenhouse soon. So, there are lots of reasons to come out for a visit!

And of course, mark your calendar for Spring Open House on Saturday, May 5, 10-5 and Sunday May 6, 1-4.

Closing House

We should have called it Full House

Yes, we took some shots of the farm gals  lined-up-in-a-row-saying-cheese--but this was the blogger's favorite, so it's the one that gets posted :)

It has been  a fantastic year.  We are blessed with amazing friends and customers.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts <3

This  is our final week of the 2012 season!   Closinghouse sale is Saturday, December 17.  It's been a great year--thanks so much for visiting with us.

Tree Toppers

That Cheryl has been at her creative re-purposing again!  Who would have thought to use this cute little girl's dress as a tree topper?

 And here's a close-up of the kitchen tree.  Such a cute idea to tuck everyday items in a little tree for the kitchen. . .
