Holiday Schedule
We would like to take this moment to wish you and yours a wonderful
Thanksgiving. We count you among our things to be thankful for! Of course, the
shop will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving Day. And THEN we'll open a little earlier (9 am) on
Black Friday and Small Business Saturday because there's sooo much to see! No
flat-screen TVs, just abundant gift and decorating ideas in a relaxing
atmosphere. And don't forget Christmas Open House is December 5/6. Come see
us!!

We're Making Room!
Hope your Fall is going great! It has sure been a long lovely season hasn't
it? Here at The Farm, we are bursting at the seams upstairs with treasures for
the "Next Season". Sooo... we have decided to move the beautiful Fall-y items
to one side of the shop and put them all at 30% off. Now, you know our prices
are already good, so for us to have an across-the-board sale, that means it's a
real SALE! Come see what you might need for your Fall, Halloween, or
Thanksgiving!

Happy Fall Everyone!
Our favorite season is finally here: just love
these chilly mornings, days warmed by golden sun, then back to refreshing cool
in the evening. You should see the magic this performs on the bittersweet!
Speaking of that - there will be plenty. Along with glorious pumpkins
(decorated & naked), Indian corn (done in a new way), wreaths, sweet annie,
and the cutest Halloween area we've done in a long time.
Hope you can come out to see it all at FALL OPEN HOUSE: Sat Oct 3 (10-5) and Sun Oct 4 (1-4). Looks like it's going to be a beautiful weekend to stroll the gardens, enjoy refreshments, and score some fall treasures!
Can't wait!

Farm Mail
Hi! I hope your summer's going well. I think my calendar has a misprint - it
says August 1, and I don't know how that could be! The gourd plants out back
are producing tons of cute little creations. UPS is bringing us new seasonal
items almost daily. Is our favorite time of year right around the corner?
:)
Maybe you should come visit the garden once more before it changes. Kate has been doing amazing things out there - so many areas have had a face-lift. And harvest has been wonderful, producing lots of flowers for wreaths & arrangements in rich late-summer colors (with a hint of Fall!)
Ok, that's it for now. Except we have a new, easier email address: thefarm94@gmail.com. And you should come be our friend on Facebook at "Visit The Farm".
Ta-ta for now ~

Container Report
Hi everybody! How are your containers doing?? With all the rain we've
had this spring and early summer, the watering chores have been a lot
lighter.
We love the purple alyssum. It might rest a bit during the very hottest of the summer, but it really shines bright early and late season. It's especially looks good with orange--here with a zinnia and in later with the pumpkins.

Hens and chicks. . . always happy pretty much everywhere they are planted.
The tipsy topiary got a new home out by the chickens this year.
Do concrete blocks count as containers? We'll just call this a hybrid between edging & container :)
Hope your containers are happy and healthy.
Leave us a picture in the comment section-we'd love to see!

Summer Farm Mail
Dear Friends ~
It is with a happy heart that I am able to finally send you an email with our new 'helper', Mail Chimp! Some of you are loooong overdue for a note from me (and maybe you thought I fell off the Earth!). But here we are, things are great at the shop, the gardens are amazing, and we are already harvesting a wonderful crop of flowers. Hopefully, your garden is happy with the rain and heat too.
And I hope you are able to come see us during the lazy hazy days of Summer. The Farm is a perfect place to bring out-of-town friends and family (along with lunch at Morningstar of course!). Make a day of it - when's the last time you strolled through New Salem?
Ok - where's my clippers? Ta-ta! I hope to see you soon!

Spring Farm Mail
Hello Dear Friends !
Well, Spring is in Full Swing out here! The shop is ready, the greenhouse
is virtually bursting, and the Big Garden Baby is waking from it's long
winter nap.
There are new things to check out inside and outside: new soaps, candles,
purses, quilts, hug-mugs, chalk paint furniture, the 'Clearance Closet',
perennials (clematis being our special favorite lately!), cute planters, and
areas in the garden that have had a face-lift. So, come see!
Of course, Spring Open House is coming up:
Saturday May 2, 10-5 and Sunday May 3, 1-4
(you know how this works – sales, goodies, plants, etc)
So, bring yourself on out...we need to see you!

Happy Spring to All!
I know it doesn't feel like it, but it's right around the corner - Daylight
Savings starts next Sunday, for goodness sake!
Now, you might think things have been all sleepy here at The Farm – but
you'd be mistaken – we've been busy as bees, transforming the shop into
something completely new for you. I know you're gonna love it! Opening day
is Tuesday, March 3. But since many of you work, (and there's this Big Snow
coming), we decided that we should do something special on Saturday, March
6. So, we have a gift for the first 15 of 2015 on that day. Come on out –
we can't wait to see you!

A Year-End Message From Gail
I
must share with you how grateful my heart is for such a wonderful year.
I was blown away by how many people came out to not only shop, but
express love and loyalty to The Farm on the last day of the season! I
thank God for this place and each one of you! May your Christmas be
blessed and your New Year happy!
