Hello out there! How is everybody?
This is our 24th time to open the doors
to Spring, and I never tire of it!
The Farm Girls have done a dandy job of
re-designing displays to highlight all the new merchandise - we can't wait for
you to tell us what you think. The weather's been great (well, except for a
little blip coming this weekend), so the garden's already waking up, and the
greenhouse will be full soon. All we need is you!
First day for 2017
will be Wednesday, March 15.
In April, we will be having our first-ever
parking lot sale.
Spring Open House is Saturday May 6, 10-5 & Sunday May
7, 1-4.
So...mark your calendar and come on out!

now,

Farm Mail
Wow! It's been a hot one so far, but recent rains are going to do wonders in
the garden. Flower harvest has been amazing due to the great spring we had.
So, if you like beautiful drieds, we've got you covered!
Things are growing inside too: we're creating an area where you can see the gorgeous colors of our new Farmhouse Paint on a variety of pieces. Maybe catch a vision of what you can do with that old dresser or coffee table. :)
Clothing lines are expanding too to keep up with your love of cute duds! And we just keep on making wreaths and arrangements, cos that's what we like to do best.
So grab a girlfriend and come on out -

Hello Farm Friends!
I'm writing to you with the sun shining in and a
forecast promising Spring-like weather this weekend. The perfect timing to talk
about opening day at The Farm. Normally, it's around March 1st, but we've
decided to push it back to mid-March. So...first day will be Tuesday, March 15,
and that will be first day for Morningstar Cafe too - fancy that!
We do not want to disappoint when you arrive, so we're working everyday on re-arranging and setting up a whole new shopping experience for you. Buying trips have been the best ever, and I found a record number of exciting new companies to order from while in Chicago. You're going to love it - can't wait to see you!

Holiday Schedule
We would like to take this moment to wish you and yours a wonderful
Thanksgiving. We count you among our things to be thankful for! Of course, the
shop will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving Day. And THEN we'll open a little earlier (9 am) on
Black Friday and Small Business Saturday because there's sooo much to see! No
flat-screen TVs, just abundant gift and decorating ideas in a relaxing
atmosphere. And don't forget Christmas Open House is December 5/6. Come see
us!!

Farm Mail
Hi! I hope your summer's going well. I think my calendar has a misprint - it
says August 1, and I don't know how that could be! The gourd plants out back
are producing tons of cute little creations. UPS is bringing us new seasonal
items almost daily. Is our favorite time of year right around the corner?
:)
Maybe you should come visit the garden once more before it changes. Kate has been doing amazing things out there - so many areas have had a face-lift. And harvest has been wonderful, producing lots of flowers for wreaths & arrangements in rich late-summer colors (with a hint of Fall!)
Ok, that's it for now. Except we have a new, easier email address: thefarm94@gmail.com. And you should come be our friend on Facebook at "Visit The Farm".
Ta-ta for now ~

Summer Farm Mail
Dear Friends ~
It is with a happy heart that I am able to finally send you an email with our new 'helper', Mail Chimp! Some of you are loooong overdue for a note from me (and maybe you thought I fell off the Earth!). But here we are, things are great at the shop, the gardens are amazing, and we are already harvesting a wonderful crop of flowers. Hopefully, your garden is happy with the rain and heat too.
And I hope you are able to come see us during the lazy hazy days of Summer. The Farm is a perfect place to bring out-of-town friends and family (along with lunch at Morningstar of course!). Make a day of it - when's the last time you strolled through New Salem?
Ok - where's my clippers? Ta-ta! I hope to see you soon!

Spring Farm Mail
Hello Dear Friends !
Well, Spring is in Full Swing out here! The shop is ready, the greenhouse
is virtually bursting, and the Big Garden Baby is waking from it's long
winter nap.
There are new things to check out inside and outside: new soaps, candles,
purses, quilts, hug-mugs, chalk paint furniture, the 'Clearance Closet',
perennials (clematis being our special favorite lately!), cute planters, and
areas in the garden that have had a face-lift. So, come see!
Of course, Spring Open House is coming up:
Saturday May 2, 10-5 and Sunday May 3, 1-4
(you know how this works – sales, goodies, plants, etc)
So, bring yourself on out...we need to see you!

Happy Spring to All!
I know it doesn't feel like it, but it's right around the corner - Daylight
Savings starts next Sunday, for goodness sake!
Now, you might think things have been all sleepy here at The Farm – but
you'd be mistaken – we've been busy as bees, transforming the shop into
something completely new for you. I know you're gonna love it! Opening day
is Tuesday, March 3. But since many of you work, (and there's this Big Snow
coming), we decided that we should do something special on Saturday, March
6. So, we have a gift for the first 15 of 2015 on that day. Come on out –
we can't wait to see you!

Hello Dear Ones
~
I hope your
Thanksgiving was blessed and now your preparing your heart and home for a
wonderful Christmas. Every year, I
re-affirm with myself that it really can be the most wonderful time of the year,
we do not have to participate in the stress, and family times are going to be
special! So, I wish that for all of
us.
At the shop, we’ve
been having fun preparing for The Big Day.
Christmas Open House is Saturday, December 7, 10-5 and Sunday, December
8, 1-4. You’re going to love it!
We are excited to be

a $50 gift card for The Farm or The Loft B&B. (6 items = 6 chances!) Bring them anytime from now til Open House
& we’ll have the drawing at the end of business on Sunday, Dec 8. Need not be present to
win.
I can’t believe it’s
time for this: last day for the year

sale!
We wish you a very
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Farm Mail
Greetings from The Farm…and how’s your summer
going? We are doing great here and
enjoying the cycles of rain, then heat, then mild. And so are the FLOWERS! Wow!
The garden looks better than it has in a long time and I believe the
harvest this year will be very nice.
The shop is packed with beautiful things for home,
patio, and garden. Like the fun glass
towers and flowers we’ve been making out of vintage glass treasures. Or original
art-work by Kate Worman-Becker. Or the
new mason jar pendant lights. And yes,
we’ve been bitten by the Burlap Bug!
Come see all the new finds!

Hello out there! Well, they say there’s this big storm coming, so I thought it was the perfect day to stay at the house and send you an email. (I’ve secretly wished for a big snow-in, but when I say that, people look at me like I’m crazy!)

We’ve been having a
ball at the shop: of course we’ve
changed it all around, gave it a good cleaning, and deliveries come almost
everyday. (It’s like Christmas, opening
the boxes!) You’re gonna love what we’ve
found!
I want to make sure
you know that Opening Day is Friday, March 1 this year. We have a little something for the
1st 13 people of 2013. And
then we’ll do something special on that Saturday too, for the folks who
work.
Just come see us when you can ~
it’s been a long winter and we miss you!

Farm Mail from Gail
It’s finally here ~ glorious
Fall!!!
I am SO grateful (and a little
surprised) that we are seeing such beautiful autumn color after that brutal
summer we had! Our garden certainly did
a turn-around after a 5” rain. I like to
nestle a bright orange pumpkin down amongst the (very happy) purple alyssum for
a great color pop. And I must admit –
I’ve never been so delighted to go out and pull weeds from pliable soil in
pleasant temperatures!
But on to inside ‘chores’. You should see what Cheryl’s been doing with
the beloved pumpkins. ‘Be-jeweled’ is
all I can say! You’ll have to come to
Open House to see! And our new Farm
Girl, Jean, puts her own fresh twist on the little darlings too.
Of course, we’ll have all styles of seasonal
home décor, from glittery to gorgeous.
So, I hope you can join us – we’ll have the usual spread of goodies, plus
Shannon will be here with CUPCAKE tasting! And Shelley will be demonstrating her
wonderful rug looming.
Fall Open
House: Saturday Oct 6, 10-5 and Sunday Oct 7,
1-4.

Farm Mail
Hello Friends!
It seems like forever since I’ve written to you – but it also seems like the winter went by really fast. I bet you think we’ve just been sitting around eating bon-bons & surfing on Pinterest! (well, only half right! – yea, I’m addicted – check it out if you haven’t yet: www.pinterest.com).
Actually, we’ve been very busy at the shop. Today was amazing…I can’t wait for you to see it! Opening day is always March 1st, and that’s next Thursday. New goodies are arriving daily, and we’ve expanded our offerings to include some cute garden hats & matching purses, some really neat kid’s giftware, and even some furniture!
But the most adorable new things at The Farm are not for sale…our sweet Mediterranean Miniature Donkeys, Lily and Sweet Pea. Best Christmas gift ever!
The Loft guest house is ready for your Spring getaway in the country. And we will be starting seeds in the greenhouse soon. So, there are lots of reasons to come out for a visit!
And of course, mark your calendar for Spring Open House on Saturday, May 5, 10-5 and Sunday May 6, 1-4.
See you soon!

No matter what your preference of seasons right now, you will find the shop delightful! We are still savoring the richness of Fall & Thanksgiving (most of it on sale) in the main room.
AND elsewhere, the beauty and magic of Christmas has arrived! New items show up everyday, and Cheryl’s talent for displaying them is amazing!
And you know The Loft, our new bed & breakfast, is open…..this would be an incredible gift idea for a very special person on your list. Or gather your best friends for a holiday retreat! Visit www.TheLoftAtTheFarm.com for a peek.
We sure hope to see you at Christmas Open House, Saturday December 3, 10-5 and Sunday December 4, 1-4.

I must say, I don’t remember such a long heat wave! But we know this too shall pass, right? And on the up-side – the shop is cool, and stocked up, AND we’re serving icy tea to make your walk in the garden more pleasant. (because there are a lot of things blooming!) And inside, you’ll find quite a few things marked down to make way for new goodies. So, grab a friend or two, maybe plan for lunch at Morningstar, and come on out!
