Spring 2017 Dates

Hello out there! How is everybody?
This is our 24th time to open the doors to Spring, and I never tire of it!

The Farm Girls have done a dandy job of re-designing displays to highlight all the new merchandise - we can't wait for you to tell us what you think.  The weather's been great (well, except for a little blip coming this weekend), so the garden's already waking up, and the greenhouse will be full soon.  All we need is you!

First day for 2017 will be Wednesday, March 15.
In April, we will be having our first-ever parking lot sale.
Spring Open House is Saturday May 6, 10-5 & Sunday May 7, 1-4.

So...mark your calendar and come on out!

Farm Mail

Wow!  It's been a hot one so far, but recent rains are going to do wonders in the garden.  Flower harvest has been amazing due to the great spring we had.  So, if you like beautiful drieds, we've got you covered!
Things are growing inside too:  we're creating an area where you can see the gorgeous colors of our new Farmhouse Paint on a variety of pieces.  Maybe catch a vision of what you can do with that old dresser or coffee table.  :)

Clothing lines are expanding too to keep up with your love of cute duds!  And we just keep on making wreaths and arrangements, cos that's what we like to do best.

So grab a girlfriend and come on out -

Happy Spring Everybody!

Things are finally in full swing, aren't they?  Our little slice of Heaven has sprung to life, and is buzzing with "new".  The greenhouse is ready for you - and though we may not be the biggest, you'll find some gems that the others don't have.  And inside the shop, we have really bumped it up a notch:  We are so excited to be carrying Farmhouse Paint - a true one-step process to transform any surface into new life. Then there's the new line of clothing, children's books, and a home fragrance line, all displayed in a totally switched-up venue!
Maybe the perfect time to visit is Open House - Saturday, May 7.  You might want to bring Mom out as part of Mother's Day (we will be closed Sunday the 8th so we can be with our own moms). As usual, there will be treats and sales.  We'll be looking for you!

Fondly,
Gail, Cheryl, Jean, Kate & Kynda

Hello Farm Friends!

I'm writing to you with the sun shining in and a forecast promising Spring-like weather this weekend.  The perfect timing to talk about opening day at The Farm.  Normally, it's around March 1st, but we've decided to push it back to mid-March.  So...first day will be Tuesday, March 15, and that will be first day for Morningstar Cafe too - fancy that!

We do not want to disappoint when you arrive, so we're working everyday on re-arranging and setting up a whole new shopping experience for you.  Buying trips have been the best ever, and I found a record number of exciting new companies to order from while in Chicago.  You're going to love it - can't wait to see you!

Holiday Schedule

We would like to take this moment to wish you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We count you among our things to be thankful for!  Of course, the shop will be closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving Day. And THEN we'll open a little earlier (9 am) on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday because there's sooo much to see!  No flat-screen TVs, just abundant gift and decorating ideas in a relaxing atmosphere.  And don't forget Christmas Open House is December 5/6.  Come see us!!

We're Making Room!

Hope your Fall is going great!  It has sure been a long lovely season hasn't it?  Here at The Farm, we are bursting at the seams upstairs with treasures for the "Next Season".  Sooo... we have decided to move the beautiful Fall-y items to one side of the shop and put them all at 30% off.  Now, you know our prices are already good, so for us to have an across-the-board sale, that means it's a real SALE! Come see what you might need for your Fall, Halloween, or Thanksgiving!

Happy Fall Everyone!

Our favorite season is finally here: just love these chilly mornings, days warmed by golden sun, then back to refreshing cool in the evening.  You should see the magic this performs on the bittersweet!  Speaking of that - there will be plenty.  Along with glorious pumpkins (decorated & naked), Indian corn (done in a new way), wreaths, sweet annie, and the cutest Halloween area we've done in a long time.

Hope you can come out to see it all at FALL OPEN HOUSE: Sat Oct 3 (10-5) and Sun Oct 4 (1-4).  Looks like it's going to be a beautiful weekend to stroll the gardens, enjoy refreshments, and score some fall treasures!

Can't wait!

Farm Mail

Hi!  I hope your summer's going well.  I think my calendar has a misprint - it says August 1, and I don't know how that could be!  The gourd plants out back are producing tons of cute little creations.  UPS is bringing us new seasonal items almost daily.  Is our favorite time of year right around the corner?  :)

Maybe you should come visit the garden once more before it changes.  Kate has been doing amazing things out there - so many areas have had a face-lift.  And harvest has been wonderful, producing lots of flowers for wreaths & arrangements in rich late-summer colors (with a hint of Fall!)

Ok, that's it for now.  Except we have a new, easier email address:  thefarm94@gmail.com.  And you should come be our friend on Facebook at "Visit The Farm".

Ta-ta for now ~
